We emphasize team building and corporate vision to improve company morale and help reduce stress. Our method provides your team with the opportunity to share, build confidence, and express their feelings in a safe and fun environment.

Here's How Your Team Can Benefit

people working together at a table
Provide a sense of achievement

Everyone leaves our Corporate Workshop with three creations on canvas. Working physically and touching the end result is a valuable commodity in the modern electronic world. Instead of leaving a trail of digital bits behind, your team members take home a physical creation of their own!

Facilitate the ability to share having to share

Our guided workshops allow each participant to use colors to express their feelings on canvas in an abstract way. At the end of the Workshop, only the Participant knows the true meaning behind the canvas. Participants are welcome to share as little or as much as they like regarding this private and personal “hidden code”.

Give the team a chance to “think outside the box”

Non-linear thinking can lead to interesting solutions to problems. Changing settings or activities can lead to non-linear thinking. What better way to think outside the box than to create something abstract?

Improve team morale and communication

Our workshops are confidence boosters, fostering open lines of communication within your team. Team members achieve a goal together while working individually. Your team breaks out of their routine to bond with a fun, expressive, and creative activity.

About art & Creativity for Healing

Our Story

Our Mission is to support emotional healing through art & creative expression for those living in pain, grief, fear or stress. Art and Creativity for Healing is a 501(c3) nonprofit organization.

We give pain a voice and meaning by providing expressive abstract art workshops to support emotional healing. We’re different from other art programs. Our Art4Healing® curriculum contains strictly guided exercises, rather than loosely formatted art sessions. These exercises are specially designed to elicit emotional responses. Participants leave encouraged, with enhanced clarity and insight. Our Art4Healing Workshops are offered to the public and through community programs. They have helped tens of thousands of men, women, and children give their pain a voice through paint, color, and self-expression.

Our Founder, Laurie Zagon, has facilitated Art & Creativity For Healing workshops since 1985. Using her method of Art4Healing®, she has helped thousands of children and adults use paint to process stress, illness, or grief in hospitals, through local and national nonprofit community organizations, and at studio workshops in Orange County. The Zagon method of Art4Healing® was initially developed in New York in 1987 to help busy Wall Street executives conquer stress.

What our Participants say

Anyone can do it!

It surprised me how interactive and innovative the Art4Healing process was—anyone can do it without a background in art. I learned some new things about my staff through this process and was so impressed with the first workshop that I sent our Operations Team over as well. They too had a powerful, engaging team-building experience.

Workshop Questions?

We’ve got some answers to frequently asked questions about our Creative Team Building Workshops.

Workshops last 90-120 minutes. We can hold a single workshop or design a custom series for your team or teams.

All of our Creative Online Workshops are held via the Zoom platform. It’s secure and easy to use! You can test your Zoom setup prior to a workshop here.

Our experience has shown the ideal group size to be 15-20 Participants for a Creative Online Workshop. We work with smaller groups, but more Participants bring more perspective to the sharing portion. We recommend breaking up groups larger than 20 into a series of workshops.

If you have a relatively new device with a camera and microphone, Zoom should work. Zoom installs a small client that runs on Windows, MacOS. For mobile devices, you can find the Zoom app on the Apple App Store and Google Play store. You can also join an event from your browser with a plug-in.

You’ll also need a stable Internet connection. In general, a broadband connection of at least 5 Mbps is ideal.
